Dear Editor,

It was good of Richard Humphrey in his letter captioned "Overseas Guyanese cannot be a major tourist market" [ please note: link provided by LOSP web site ] (7.4.2002) to join the discussion about Guyana's tourism policy. But frankly being lectured to on economics by Mr Humphrey, whose own track record at the Tower Hotel is hardly unblemished, is hard to bear.

I look forward to more reasoned contributions to a long overdue debate.
