A clash of cultures

Dear Editor,

This clash between the cultures of the East and the West was inevitable ! America has long thought that with their technology, everyone else should be grateful for whatever pittance they hand out, while creating ghettos and refugee camps around the world. As long as a man is willing to die for a cause, America or no power will ever wipe out terrorism.

Remember one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. From Jomo Kenyatta and the Mau Mau to Menachem Begin and the underground Irgun to Yassar Arafat and the PLO to the Kosovo Liberation Army and the Serbs and the Macedonians, all were once deemed terrorists and then became respectable and acceptable political forces.

In the meantime, millions die under the influence of some man's ideology which is always under the auspices of their version of God!

These are dangerous times and war has become a familiar word.

The economic fallout will be of monumental proportions. With George Bush at the helm, the military industrial complex of America surges to world domination! Also, the Illuminati will not allow exploitation by the oil lords of the East and peace shall be nowhere to be found!

"Man know Thyself" is an old adage that you will find more and more valuable as we struggle to adjust to the New World Order. Man will either realise we are all brothers in one God, even if we worship differently or we shall sink into a fragmented, isolated "us and them" mentality that will utterly destroy what has become a global village.

Peace ,Love, Understanding and Prosperity!

Yours faithfully,

Gavin Francisco
