Guyanese swimmers conclude participation in World C/ships

Guyanese swimmers have concluded their participation at the 12th FINA World Swimming Championships being staged in Australia .
In their final set of qualifying competition yesterday, the 8th and final day of the event, the Guyana team participated in the 4 x 100m Medley Relay. The order in which they swam was: Backstroke – Onan Thom, Breaststroke – Niall Roberts, Butterfly – Jamaal Sobers, Freestyle – Yannick Roberts.
They were placed in the second of 5 heats and placed 3rd in that heat with a time of 4:34.67.
The team leaves Melbourne this afternoon and is expected to arrive home tomorrow evening.
