Just about 60% of the tickets for the six Super Eight matches at the Guyana National Stadium at Providence, East Bank Demerara have been sold.

Chief Executive Officer of the Guyana Local Organising Committee Karan Singh said local cricket fans must not wait until the last minute to buy tickets for the matches that would be played in Guyana from March 28.

Based on the schedule, the West Indies could be playing Sri Lanka on April 1. Stabroek News understands that tickets for that match have been in great demand compared to the other matches though they have not been sold out.

The cost of tickets are US$100 for category one; US$75 for category two tickets; US$25 for category three tickets and US$90 for the party stand (grass mound). A section of the grass mound would also be sold for US$25.
