OPEN: The Tom and Jerry International Coney Island

THE previously announced Tom and Jerry International Coney Island, from Brazil, was yesterday opened to the public at St Stanislaus College Ground, Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown.

The show has successfully completed tours of Suriname and French Guiana, the Director, Mr. Jefferson De Souza told the Guyana Chronicle.
He said the main attraction is the roller coaster, a first for Guyana, but 11 other rides, including for children, are also available.

The others are Enterprise, Boat, Alligator, Carousel, Trampoline, Ducks, Motorcycles, Ferris wheel, Bumper Car and Twister.

Admission for adults is $500 each and $300 for every child while the charges for tickets are the same.

De Souza said stringent security measures are in place with support from the Guyana Police Force and parking of vehicles will be allowed along Carifesta Avenue.

“In terms of safety, we have that covered and our trained and experienced staff will be on hand to supervise persons who may be interested in a particular ride and children will be monitored on rides, as well,” he assured.

De Souza said the Tom and Jerry ensemble will be in Guyana for one month, opening daily from 17:00h to 23:00h.
