A Notice Paper with motions dealing with Opposition Leader Robert Corbin's visit to Taiwan and a PNCR agreement with a Surinamese opposition party was circulated in the National Assembly yesterday.

The motion dealing with Corbin's Taiwan visit, which he has said was private, asks the National Assembly to dissociate itself from the visit and to reaffirm support for a 'One China' policy.

With regard to the PNCR's agreement with the Surinamese New Demo-cratic Party, which the party said it had concluded in an effort to promote good relations between the Guyanese and Surinamese peoples, the motion seeks the affirmation that the conduct of the country's foreign policy is the sole preserve of the Government of Guyana.
