Star of the 1981 hit "Love Story" and the upcoming "Guiana 1838", Kumar Gaurav says his best acting years are ahead of him.

Speaking in an exclusive interview to be published in tomorrow's Sunday Stabroek, Gaurav says he is moving away from the Bollywood genre to more thoughtful roles. And he nixed any chance of a sequel to Love Story saying he had grown as a person and an actor.

Talking from his home in Mumbai, Gaurav recalls how he developed his character for "Guiana 1838", Laxman, a simple man from India who embarks upon a journey to the promised land..."

He talks about his time shooting the film on the Corentyne and his hopes of returning here. Also in the Sunday Stabroek, director Rohit Jagessar relates the challenges of making the film which was inspired by the stories of his grandmother, a native of Berbice.
