The parents of Orwin Blair are mystified by their son's apparent suicide. Blair, 13, lived at 168 Blue Berry Hill, Wismar and attended the Wisburg Secondary School.

Speaking with Stabroek News yesterday, the child's mother said that around 6:30 pm on Thursday afternoon she received a call from her neighbour saying, "Beverly come home quick...! Yuh son kill heself." She said that she rushed home only to find her son hanging from the rafter by a bed sheet.

Blair was said to have been playing with his siblings in the yard when he left to go and bathe. "He sister said that she been calling for he and after not hearing any answer went inside and did not see he. When she pull deh bedroom blind she see he hanging from the roof."
