* SHIVNARINE CHANDERPAUL ON HIS PERFORMANCE VERSUS KENT:

"I think it was a good knock, trying to get accustomed to the conditions and trying to get a feel for the moving ball. We lost two early wickets so I was trying to stick it out, bearing in mind that once we have wickets in hand we could always accelerate down at the end. I enjoyed hanging in today and benefiting when the ball got a bit older."

* CHANDERPAUL ON HIS PERFORMANCE ON SATURDAY VERSUS SUSSEX:

"In the first two games I didn't get anything much, I got scores of 11 and two so I wanted to get in and get a start and in doing that. Chris was really stepping on the gas so that allowed me to settle. After Chris and Ricardo (Powell) got out I decided to step it up to give Brian (Lara) some time to settle as well.

"One boundary was short and the outfield was fast so we took advantage of that. Again, once you have wickets down at the end you can have a launch but we wanted to get the runs with overs to spare and not have to go in the last over. We did not want it to be close. Getting 181 from 23 overs was a big task but it's cricket and once we kept scoring we knew we could have gotten the runs."

* CHANDERPAUL ON GETTING ACCLIMATIZED:

"It's rather cold right now so it will take some time to get acclimatized. The conditions change so often during a game here that it is quite hard to get acclimatized quickly."

* CHANDERPAUL ON GOALS FOR THE NATWEST ODI & NPOWER TEST SERIES:

"For the team, it's to win the Natwest ODI series and then the npower Test series as well.

"Personal goals I keep to myself but I will be working hard on making my contribution to ensure that the team succeeds."

* RAMNARESH SARWAN ON THE GAME VERSUS KENT:

"I was happy with my knock today. I was timing the ball well and my feet were moving pretty smoothly. As a team I think we should have gotten 300 because it was a pretty good batting surface but unfortunately we didn't get that. In the end 275 proved to be enough. I think we bowled OK but there is a lot of room for improvement especially in the extras department. We bowled too many extras, 40 extras is unacceptable."

* CHRIS GAYLE ON HIS KNOCK VERSUS SUSSEX ON SATURDAY:

"It is good to be amongst the runs. I was trying to get acclimatized and adapt to situation at hand. It was a good challenge and everybody chipped in having lost two early wickets. I was positive about the chase to get 181 from 23 overs because it was a quick outfield and I think it was achievable with the batting that we have. I'm looking forward to the One Day series against England." (Windiescricket.com)
