Universal Airlines has introduced a special economy service called 'Premium Eco-nomy', offering passengers extra leg-room and comfort, less washroom traffic and an exquisite meal service as well as complimentary drinks from the Business Class bar.

A press release from the airline yesterday said that 'Premium Economy' is being offered to all economy-class passengers at an extra US$25 one way. Purchase may be done at any Universal Airlines office or at the airport of departure.

However, the release noted, because of limited seating in this exclusive area, 'Premium Economy' will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The airline said further that the new service is a huge improvement over the ordinary economy and is exclusively located in a plus-seating area on its B767-3000 aircraft.

Universal Airlines staff and check-in agents at all airports will wear buttons promoting this new service, the release added.
