Mr Peter Ramsaroop, a member of the Reform faction of the PNCR has clarified some of his recent comments in this newspaper and on the state-owned television station on the performance of the PNCR.

Ramsaroop said President Bharrat Jagdeo and the PNCR leader Mr Robert Corbin should stop mistrusting each other. He feels they should get together for a drink or lunch in an informal atmosphere and look at areas in which they could find common ground and develop them for the good of the nation.

The outspoken member of the Reform faction intends returning to Guyana after the next general elections to set up an investment business here.

Ramsaroop is the guest on the Demico House-sponsored interview programme One On One to be broadcast at 7 o'clock on Sunday night on NCN Channel 11. Ramsaroop said the statement he made during his last visit to Guyana on the leadership of the PNCR was not meant to ruffle feathers.

He also responded to a letter by Jerome Khan a member of the Reform faction which was published in Stabroek News criticizing his political stance and challenging him to return home and get involved in the political fray.

The Reform member dismissed the part of Khan's letter which claimed that the Stabroek News has a hidden agenda, and gave his opinion on the Gajraj affair.
