Shares of beverage companies Banks DIH Ltd and Demerara Distillers Ltd (DDL) topped trading on the stock exchange yesterday when a total of 118,348 shares worth $1.3M exchanged hands.

Banks saw 57,727 shares traded at prices of between $5.50 and $5.60 per share yielding $318,589 while 42,871 shares in DDL traded at $7.

The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry saw 15,000 shares trading at a price per share of $32, while the National Bank of Industry and Commerce saw 2,750 shares trading at a price of $11.90.
