PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, (CMC) - Hosts Trinidad & Tobago, former champions St Lucia and returnee Barbados, all completed victories in the knockout round of the West Indies Women’s Cricket Federation championship yesterday.

T&T beat Jamaica by six wickets, St Lucia prevailed over Guyana by 62 runs, and Barbados rolled over Grenada by 55 runs to all reach the semifinals of the competition that ends this weekend.

In the semifinals, Trinidad & Tobago will renew traditional sporting rivalry with Barbados at the National Cricket Centre in Couva, and in an all-Windward Islands affair, league winner St Vincent & the Grenadines face St Lucia at Merry Boys Oval in Diego Martin.

At Diego Martin, T&T successfully chased 133 and achieved victory in the 35th over after Nelly Williams hit the top score of 55.

Jacqueline Robinson had earlier hit an unbeaten 72 to pace Jamaica to 132 for eight from their allotment of 50 overs.

At Couva, Verena Felicien was undefeated on 95 and shared a big partnership with Philippa Thomas, who hit 62 to help St Lucia post 221 for four from their 50 overs.

Guyana were then restricted to 159 for eight from their 50 overs with Candacy Atkins hitting the top score of 47 and Natalee Cooper bagging three wickets for nine runs.

At Munroe Road, Pamela Lavine top-scored with 60 and Angela Arthur made 54 to give Barbados the foundation for a total of 189 for seven from 50 overs with Debbie-Ann Lewis taking four for 30 for Grenada.

Twin sisters Kychona Knight with four for 24 and Kycia Knight with two for 38 helped bowl Grenada out for 134 in 42.2 overs.
