Government ministers for post-budget discussions countrywide

SEVERAL Government Ministers will be visiting communities across the country to host discussions with citizens on the recently presented National Budget.

The discussions began yesterday afternoon with Minister within the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, Clinton Collymore, meeting with residents of Adelphi and Gagaran, two East Canje Villages in Region Six.

Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon will also be meeting with residents of New Amsterdam.

Minister of Fisheries, Other Crops and Livestock and Agriculture (Ag.) Satyadeow Sawh will also travel to the county of Berbice for community meetings at Yakusari, Johanna, Mibicuri and Lesbeholden, and in Black Bush Polder.

The Minister of Finance, Sasenarine Kowlessar, and Information Liaison to the President Robert Persaud will be in Region Six tomorrow.

The Government officials will host a meeting with the business community and two community meetings at Number 47 and Whim, Berbice in the afternoon. There will also be interactions with various interest groups.

Minister within the Minister of Labour, Human Services and Social Security Bibi Shadick will visit Berbice next Wednesday. She will host meetings at the Fishermen Co-operative at Number 66 Village and Number 72 Village. Her visit will conclude with a live television programme.

Government Ministers will also take to Linden and Essequibo in the upcoming days to engage residents on current issues and the country’s largest ever budget, presented on March 29 at $75B.
