I wish to commend Mr P Alexander for the letter he wrote published in SN, 25.5.04. I am happy that different people are bold enough to speak out against injustice and other evils meted out against children in our society.

The Bible teaches, "Children are a heritage unto the Lord.' Also Jesus himself said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me."

Our society seems to be sick of child abuse, whether physical, sexual or emotional.

Everyone, regardless of religious or political persuasion should speak out strongly against the advantage taken of children. Quite re-cently a thirteen-year-old was abducted and sexually abused. Children need to be protected.

Some of these men can be the father or grandfather of this child and other children.

The Bible says whoever offends one of these my children, it is better that he have not been born or put a millstone over his neck and cast himself into the sea.
