Top National Park cyclists for 2003 to be honoured

Ricks and Sari Group of Companies will honour those cyclists who performed outstandingly in Hassan Mohammed's 2003 National Park cycling season, at a special function on Sunday evening, beginning at 5 pm at the Ricks and Sari head office, Sheriff Street.

Outstanding Carlton Wheelers cyclists will also be honoured.

The top two cyclists in each of the categories contested in the National Park programme are the ones who will be honoured.

They are: Marlon Morrison and Leer Nunes (school boys and novice); Alonzo Greaves and Darren Allen (juveniles); Ron Santos and Royston Anderson (boys 12-14 years); Geron Williams and Chris Persaud (BMX boys 9-12 years); Compton Persaud and Patrick Santos (veterans over 45 years), Linden Blackman and Virgil Jones (veterans under 45 years);Romario Bhagwandin and Mario Providence (BMX boys 6-9 years); Scott Savory and Uricka Wilson (BMX boys and girls 12-14 years); Ashley Lall and Sherry Ann DeAbreu (BMX girls 6-12 years); and Maurice Fagundes and Linden Burrowes (upright).

Bhagwandin will also receive a prize for being the most outstanding cyclist in the National Park.

The Carlton Wheelers cyclists to be honoured are: Junior Niles, Allen, Shane Boodram, Ron Santos, Ashley Ali and DeAbreu.
