DDL's price down 5%, DIH drops 2%

This week's trading results show 48,443 shares changing hands from four companies namely, Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC), Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI), Banks DIH (DIH) and Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) resulting in a total consideration of $1,236,691.

BTI's share price remained steady at $28.0 for the 20,000 shares traded during the session. These shares constituted 41.3 % of the total volume traded and 45 % of the total consideration.

A sum of 20,500 DDL shares were traded at a Mean Weighted Average Price (MWAP) of $7.5. This represents 42.3 % of the shares traded but only 12.7 % of the total consideration. The MWAP of DDL, however, is down 5% from $7.9 in the previous week.

A total of 4,851 DIH shares were also traded at a MWAP of $5.9 which showed a 2% change in price compared to the previous session.

The remaining 3,092 shares traded were those from the tobacco company (DTC) which were traded at a Mean Weighted Average Price (MWAP) of $160 contributing 40 % to the total consideration.

Trading on the stock exchange continues next Monday at 10 am at the offices of GASCI located on the corner of Avenue of the Republic and Robb street.
