The West Indies Cricket Board's selection committee has named a 13-man squad from which the final 11 will be picked for the first Cable & Wireless Test against England, starting on Thursday at Sabina Park, Jamaica.

The squad will be led by West Indies star batsman Brian Lara, while his vice captain will be Ramnaresh Sarwan.

Reserved wicket-keeper Carlton Baugh Jr, spinner Dave Mohammed and an uncapped pace bowler Dwight Washington, who were in the 16-man training squad, were not selected.

SQUAD: Brian Lara (captain), Ramnaresh Sarwan, Tino Best, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Corey Collymore, Fidel Edwards, Chris Gayle, Ryan Hinds, Ridley Jacobs, Ricardo Powell, Adam Sanford, Devon Smith and Dwayne Smith.
