Haniff dominates KFC/Pizza Hut golf

Playing in perfect conditions, Fazil Haniff was able to capture the Pizza Hut/KFC sponsored-Golf Tournament on Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Course.

According to a release from the golf club, Haniff posted a gross 81, handicap 14 for a net three under par 67 to win the 28-player stroke play tournament. The stagger start system was in effect.

Lester Alvis with gross 85, handicap 16 and net 69 placed second, while Joan Fields with gross 101, handicap 31 and net 70 ended third.

Haniff completed his domination on Saturday by winning the longest drive and closest to the pin challenges.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, club president Hemraj Kissoon expressed the club's gratitude to the sponsors for their long-term support to the club and golf in Guyana generally. He expressed the hope that Pizza Hut/KFC would continue with their support for the sport.

The presentation of prizes were done by Ms. Pertab of KFC/PIzza Hut. Also present was KFC/Pizza Hut's Chief Executive Officer Deo Singh.
