AAA nominated Pompey, Burnett

In Wednesday's edition of Stabroek Sport we incorrectly stated in our article titled 'Braithwaite leads sportsman of the year nominations', that the Amateur Athletic Association of Guyana (AAA) had not nominated Commonwealth Games 400-metre gold medallist Aliann Pompey or Pan American Games bronze medallist Marian Burnette for the Sports Woman of the Year award.
In fact, the AAA nominated both athletes as well as field athlete Michelle Vaughn for the award.
The Guyana Softball Cricket Association, panellist Debbie Bumbury and the Guyana Taekwondo Association also nominated Burnette, while the Guyana Netball Association and Bumbury nominated Pompey.
