AAA names Southern Games team

THE Amateur Athletics Association (AAA) has named a four-member team for the Southern Games Invitational meet scheduled for Trinidad next weekend.
Rawle Greene of Bedford Track Club and Andre Blackman of Police Sports Club will contest the 100 and 200m sprint races, while Trevor Scotland, also of Police, will contest the 800m event.
Blackman is the defending 100m and 200m champion at the meet.
Cleveland Forde will do battle in the 5 000m event.
The manager is Keith French and the team leaves on Thursday for the island.
The games will be contested March 27-28.
The athletes were selected based on their performances on Wednesday when trials for the races were staged at the Police Sports Club ground.
