Dr. Ramsammy is back

With a beaming smile and hearty wave, Minister of Health Dr. Leslie Ramsammy descended a Universal Airlines flight UW101 6:45 am yesterday morning.
Minister Ramsammy, who expressed his delight at returning home, said he was feeling much better and is going back to work.
"I am heading straight for the office" an elated Ramsammy informed the media.
Minister Ramsammy received an exceptionally warm reception from members of the media (awaiting the arrival of Bollywood actor Kumar Gaurav) in the VIP waiting lounge of Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri.
While walking briskly on the tarmac, Guyana Chronicle's photographer Cullen Nelson Bess captured the Minister in stride.
Dr. Ramsammy has successfully completed elective cardiac bypass surgery in the US and spent some time recuperating in Long Island, Queens, before returning home to active duty.
In the interim, Public Service Minister, Dr. Jennifer Westford, held the portfolio of Minister of Health.
