THE constructive engagement process continues to be affected by the selective, delaying tactics of the Opposition PNCR, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon said yesterday.

Speaking to the media at his weekly press conference, Dr. Luncheon stated, "As was previously stated the various areas of activity under the constructive engagement process have been selectively targeted by the PNCR."

On the other hand, the areas where progress is irreversible continue to benefit from PNCR participation, the Cabinet Secretary pointed out.

Thus, the Parliamentary Sector Committees, particularly the four Sector Committees, the Public Accounts and the Parliamentary Management Committee, are conducting business as usual, he added.

According to Dr. Luncheon the PNCR's participation at other Parliamentary fora is less principled and a review of the recent PNCR participation in other aspects of the constructive engagement process is discouraging.

Bilateral meetings at the level of the High Representatives and the Leaders continue not being held and Mr. Robert Corbin has yet to respond to President Jagdeo's invitation to consult on the reconstitution of the important Integrity Commission, Dr. Luncheon noted.

The situation is somewhat better at the level of the Bipartisan Task Force where some activity is evident, he explained.
