TWO additional PPP Regional Committees and activists from party regions seven (West Demerara) and nine (Essequibo Coast) have endorsed the decision by the Party's Executive Committee to expel Khemraj Ramjattan.

The resolution from Region Seven (West Demerara) refers to previous complaints which were made against Ramjattan and his expressions of regret and undertakings given not to repeat them and to abide be the rules and practices of the party, a release from the Peoples Progressive Party (PPP) stated.

Also, that the resolution further noted that in spite of these previous undertakings "he would continue to violate" the rules.

From Region Nine (Essequibo Coast), their resolution noted the consistent efforts made by the central executive to reconcile differences between Ramjattan and the Party on a democratic basis.

The resolution noted also that commitment to free speech does not mean that a party member can ignore his obligation to adhere to the party's rules as well as his/her commitment to the collective decision making process.

These resolutions come after leaders and activists of regional bodies in East Berbice have similarly formally expressed their support for the Party's Executive Committee's decision to expel Ramjattan.
