GFF to conduct another round of selection trials

THE Guyana Football Federation (GFF) will be conducting another round of selection trials for players who will be chosen to commence training for membership of the Senior National Football Team that will represent Guyana in the World Cup preliminary games.

The games will be between Guyana and Grenada on February 28 and March 14.

Selection trials will be held at the Camptown Football ground from Monday January 19 to 22, after which 26 players will be chosen for encampment from January 23rd to March 15 in the first instance.

As such the GFF has called 38 players to trials.

Accommodation and meals will be provided for out-of-town players during the trials.

The goalkeepers are Andrew Durant, Marlon Hendricks, Richard Reynolds and Fidel Smith.

The defenders are Orville Bobb, Sherwin Cadogan, Orlando Gilgeous, Leslie Holligan, Howard Lowe, Kelvin McKenzie, Abassy McPherson, Walter Moore, Daxton Parks, Elroy Parks, Charles Pollard, Clevaughn SLowe and Travis Waterton.

Dirk Archer, Shawn Beveney, Shawn Bishop, Jermaine Browne, Carl Cole, Travis Grant, Cary Harris, Neil Hernandez, Daniel Matthews, Kayode McKinnon, Jonathan Peters, Jerome Richardson and Emerick Williams are the midfielders.

The strikers are Anthony Abrams, Nigel Codrington, Delon Glen, Eron Hayde, Randolph Jerome, Devon Millington and Gregory Richardson.

All players are required to be at the venue at 15:30 hrs on Monday.
