Demerara Tobacco Company's (Demtoco) share price jumped by 43% yesterday from a previously traded price of $42 to $60.
A total of 2,500 shares sold for $150,000.
It was the only highlight in another day of light trading on the exchange with a total of 7,986 shares traded for $182,916.
The only other trade was in Demerara Distillers Ltd (DDL) with 5,486 shares changing hands at $6.
