NINE days after the abduction of Vivekanand Nandalall, 20, of Lot 125 A Non-Pariel, Block 12, East Coast Demerara, his heartbroken parents are appealing for his release and are offering a substantial monetary reward for his return.

Nandalall’s mother and father, who arrived in the country on Thursday, told reporters that they are willing to offer a reward for any information on the whereabouts of their son. The young man was abducted on October 15 while driving his silver gray motorcar PGG 3648.

A close relative stated that the lad’s parents are still hopeful that their son is alive. They have promised to treat all calls with absolute confidentiality.

Persons who have any information on the possible whereabouts of Nandalall are asked to call telephone number 229-6575 or visit his family at Non-Pariel, East Coast Demerara.

The Anti-Kidnapping Unit supported by the various crime units of the Police Force is still investigating the incident.

A $1M ransom was handed over to the abductors on the morning of Saturday, October 18, 2003. Since then, there has been no contact with the distraught family. (Michel Outridge)
