Pharmagen Enterprises and Medicare Pharmacy have become the first two private sector agencies to embrace the war on bad manners campaign currently being run by the Guyana Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism.
According to a press release from GTA, the establishments serve and interact with a large number of customers on a daily basis so the management decided to be part of the momentum being generated by the war on bad manners. As a result, they have been organizing special customer care sessions for all categories of their staff at both Pharmagen Enterprises and Medicare Pharmacy.
The release stated that this initiative is being taken in collaboration with the customer care team recruited for the courtesy campaign.
According to Carl Bacchus, Managing Director of Pharmagen Enterprises, politeness towards customers at all times is the standard that employees at the two agencies will be striving to achieve. The new standard leaves no room for discourtesy on the part of any employee regardless of how challenging or stressful the interaction with the customer may be. The release added that the initiative will also entail the posting of billboards at both establishments announcing to customers that they have entered a good manners zone.
