ASSISTANT Superintendent of Police Phillip Armstrong will be recalled today to give further evidence at the inquest into the death of Linden London alias ‘Blackie’ and his female companion, Rhonda Forde.

The witness is to clarify testimony about two passports, a Guyanese and St Lucian, which were retrieved from Toucan Suites, Eccles, East Bank Demerara, where the notorious bandit and the woman were killed in a joint Police/Army operation on February 9, 2000.

Coroner Melissa Robertson-Ogle, who is sitting with a five-member jury, told Armstrong yesterday that another witness, Inspector Deonarine previously testified that the travel documents were lodged at Ruimveldt Police Station from where he uplifted them and took them to the analyst.

Armstrong, before the adjournment, said he remembered seeing the books but not uplifting them.

He undertook to check with Ruimveldt Police and report when the proceedings continue today.
