PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad - (CMC)- Vincentian medium pacer Clea Hoyte has been forced out of the West Indies women's squad to their world qualifying tournament in Holland later this month because of a shoulder injury.

Hoyte, who played against the touring Sri Lankans in March, failed a fitness test this week and will be replaced by 14-year-old bowling sensation Anisa Mohammed of Trinidad and Tobago.

The squad is presently in camp ahead of their departure tomorrow for the International Women's Cricket Council (IWCC) championship - starting in Holland over the weekend - that will qualify two teams to the 2005 Women's World Cup in South Africa.

Off-spinner Mohammed won the bowling average and top wicket-taker awards at last month's West Indies Women's Championship in Grenada, and also lifted the same awards at the regional junior championship in St. Lucia in April.

Mohammed will join Guyana's Indomatie Goordial and Trinidadian Felicia Cummings as newcomers in the 14-member squad, being led by 10-year veteran wicket-keeper Stephanie Power of Trinidad and Tobago.

The IWCC tournament will see the West Indies playing alongside Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Pakistan and Scotland for two spots to the 2005 Women's World Cup in South Africa.

Squad: Stephanie Power (captain), Indomatie Goordial, Envis Williams, Nelly Williams, Shane De Silva, Debbie-Ann Lewis, Nadine George, Doris Francis, Phillipa Thomas, Verena Felicien, Juliana Nero, Felicia Cummings, Candacy Atkins, Anisa Mohammed.
