The PNCR says it would be ever vigilant in ensuring that measures in the May 6 communique signed between President Bharrat Jagdeo and PNCR Leader Robert Corbin are implemented and would be militant in taking political action if there are slippages or bad faith gestures.

At its weekly press conference at Congress Place, Sophia, on Thursday, the party noted the concerns of citizens who have expressed some skepticism about the process.

The party's statement pointed out that many citizens had cited previous occasions where the implementation of bipartisan solutions to national issues had foundered on the intransigence of many sections of the administration.

The final clause of the communique refers to the establishment of a monitoring mechanism to be discussed between Jagdeo and Corbin at their next meeting, the PNCR statement noted.
