The police are seeking two men, one of whom is the brother of a dead criminal, for questioning in relation to the murder of policeman Lloyd Cameron and in the Albouystown assault that left three persons dead and seven others wounded on Monday night.

According to a release from Force Headquarters, Eve Leary, the hunt is on for 20-year-old Paul Pindleton, whose last address was given as 10 Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge; as well as Omali Rogers, 24, of 83 Amelia's Ward, Mackenzie, Linden.

Pindleton's brother, Kwame Pindleton was killed, together with Leroy Lowe, in a shootout with the police at the head of the University of Guyana access road sometime last year. The police said both Paul Pindleton and Rogers are wanted in relation to Cameron's murder as well as a series of robberies and other offences.

Rogers, for whom a wanted bulletin was issued last year, had been found by police hiding in the trunk of a car on November 21. The vehicle was, at the time, heading further up the East Coast Demerara when it was stopped and searched. The driver of that car, Sherwin Dalgetty, was found shot dead last week on the access road to GDF's Camp Groomes on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway.

The police said Rogers was a member of the late Linden 'Blackie' London's gang and up to November, he was being sought in relation to at least nine robberies in the Linden area.

Rogers was charged indictably with two counts of armed robbery and appeared at the Christianburg Magistrate's Court on November 28. He was released on bail sometime earlier this year.

The police are urging anyone with information concerning Pindleton and Rogers to contact them on telephone numbers 225-8196, 226-1326, 225-3650, 226-6978, 225-2317, 225-3061 and 226-7065.
