Roraima Bikers’ Gordon Kennedy secured a gold medal for Guyana as action in the West Indies versus the World Cycling Series continued on Friday evening at the Arima Velodrome, Trinidad.

According to reports from Trinidad, Kennedy won a `Devil Takes the Hindmost’ event for category two cyclists. He also captured a silver in a six-lap event for category two and three riders as well as a bronze in another six-lap race for category two riders.

On Friday also, Marlon Williams and Jorge Emerson, both of Roraima Bikers club, won silver medals in two races for juniors. Williams was second in a four-lap race, while Emerson placed second in a six-lap affair.

On Saturday night, the two (Emerson and Williams) again secured silver medals for Guyana. Emerson placed second in a two-lap race, while Williams was second in a four-lap event.

Action at the Arima Velodrome was slated to conclude last evening.
