World Boxing Council cruiserweight champion Wayne `Big Truck' Braithwaite has no immediate plans of either moving up or down in weight.

Braithwaite made the disclosure yesterday and reiterated for now he will resist the temptation of bigger pay days in the heavyweight division.

The USA-based champion said that he is comfortable at the 190-pound cruiserweight and will remain there until he unifies the titles.

"At the moment I have no intention of moving up. I will consider that after I have unified the titles. I'll remain a cruiserweight as long as it takes to unify titles," Braithwaite said from Brooklyn yesterday.

He also stressed that although he could make the 175-pound light heavyweight limit he would not consider going down even for a possible mega purse against undisputed champion Roy Jones Jr.

"At the moment anyone who wants to fight will have to meet me at cruiserweight," he declared.

Just recently Jones Jr. climed to heavyweight to successfully challenge John Ruiz for the WBA title. Jones raked in over eight million dollars for the bout.

Before Jones, Evander Holyfield moved up from cruiserweight division to dominate the heavyweights. "My aim is to unify the titles Braithwaite said while adding that he would not let the lure of big money ruin his career.

The International Boxing Federation (IBF) title is held by Vassily Jirov while the World Boxing Association (WBA) champion is Jean Marc Mormeck. Braithwaite, who will turn 28 on August 9, won the vacant WBC on October 11 after taking out Italian Vincenzo Cantatore in round 10. He mad his first defence on February 21 against American Ravea Springs whom he knocked out in round four.

Meanwhile the WBC champion, undefeated in 19 fights (16 knockouts), said he is unaware of a rematch with Cantatore. It has been reported by internet website Fightnews.com that the Italian is scheduled for a rematch with the champion. "This is news to me. No one has contacted me," Braithwaite said.

The champion said that he returned to training one week after his first defence and should be back in the ring in June.
