Cabinet allocates $10.8M for Mash

The participation of state and government entities in the annual Mashramani celebrations has been given a boost following Cabinet’s approval of $10.8M to aid their efforts.
Cabinet Secretary Dr Roger Luncheon said yesterday that Cabinet had approved a submission by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Gail Teixeira.
In her presentation she sought to highlight the range of activities outlined for the country’s 33rd year as a republic.
Cabinet further gave its approval of the basic format for the proceedings including the flag raising ceremony at Parliament Buildings and the costume and float parade.
