Securicor heist accused five remanded

The five men arrested in the $43M Securicor van robbery yesterday appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Juliet Holder-Allen charged with conspiracy to commit a felony. They were all remanded to prison.

The men, Keith Caesar of 43 Norton Street, Lodge; Mark McDonald of 43 Melanie Damishana Squatting Area; Neville Holder of 196 Kuru Kuru, Soesdyke; Moses Denhert of 28 Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge; and Godfrey Clarke Smith, are to return to court on June 26, 2003.

Particulars of the charge stated that sometime between October 1 and May 30, the five conspired together to commit larceny of money, property of the bank of Nova Scotia.

The men are also jointly charged with two counts of simple larceny each. The matter is currently pending at the Vigilance Magistrate Court.
