President off to Russia

President Bharrat Jagdeo leaves tomorrow for a nine-day visit to Russia to be a part of the world forum on graduates from Russian educational institutions, Head of the Presidential Secretariat (HPS) disclosed at his weekly news conference yesterday.

Included in the President’s delegation are his Political Adviser, Kellawan Lall, Acting Chief regional Health Officer, Dr. Beri Ramsarran and Senior Agricultural Officer, Joseph McAllister, all graduates from Russian institutions during the time of the former USSR.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the world forum.

President Jagdeo studied at the Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow where he obtained a Master of Science Degree in Economics.

President Jagdeo will conclude his visit on May 18 and returns home on May 19.
