Guyanese from all walks of life are wondering how long more will the lumpen elements in Buxton be allowed to carry out their nefarious activities, some in full view of the security forces.

It cannot go without noticing that whenever these so-called human kind choose to exhibit their true nature, they stop at nothing-beating, robbing, killing of innocent people and causing destruction to infrastructure in their seemingly ruthless campaign aimed at nothing but satisfying their ego and that of their latent backers.

The entire Guyanese population including the more decent people of Buxton feel that the time has come now, more than ever, to put a end to the lawlessness and let all those involved in this dirty campaign against the state and its people know that no longer will their actions be tolerated, and that the rest of Guyana is looking on with subdued tolerance at the egregious behaviour of these people who allow themselves to be used as other people’s pit bulls.

The people view with profound seriousness, attempts by others to transform Buxton to a state within a state.

This cannot be tolerated. This must not happen. Buxton and Buxtonions must be made aware that all of Guyana belongs to all Guyanese and no area, region or village is sacred or special more than the other.

The majority of Guyanese including tax payers are up in arms against the authorities to use their money to effect repairs to wanton destruction of the infrastructure which is frequently damaged by the lumpens whenever they carry out their vitriolic acts.

The people believe that whenever bridges are destroyed, water mains are broken and roads are dug up, central government must not divert funds provided for other areas to carry out repairs in Buxton.

Most people believe this is wrong. Funds for the development of other areas must not be diverted to repair Buxton.

It is clear that with the ever so often destruction, the people of Buxton do not appreciate these facilities. If they do, it is the duty of the people of Buxton then to safeguard their infrastructure.

We believe that if repair works are to be carried out every time there is destruction and sabotage in Buxton, money should be taken from funds provided to do other developmental works in the village, thus depriving the village of further development.

The nonsense must stop now!
