Minister Westford off to 'Big Truck' fight in Rome

Public Service Minister Dr. Jennifer Westford will travel to Rome to represent the Government of Guyana at the upcoming World Boxing Association's cruiserweight title fight between Guyana's Wayne `Big Truck' Braithwaithe and Italian Vincenzo Cantatore, billed for tomorrow night.
According to a GINA release, this announcement was made by Head of the Presidential Secretariat and cabinet Secretary, Dr. Roger Luncheon, at his weekly press briefing.
The release quoted Dr. Luncheon as saying Guyana had sent Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Gail Teixeira in a similar capacity and the result was Guyanese Andrew `Six Head' Lewis bringing home a World title, which he subsequently lost in a title defence.
"The last time we sent a female Minister to the fight, we got excellent results and so we are hoping the results are the same." Dr. Luncheon is quoted as saying.
