Prashad wins GT&t Golf tourney

Patrick Prashad overcame the hard and fast greens that were the order of the day at the Lusignan Golf Course on Saturday, to win a GT&T sponsored golf tournament.

Prashad, the Lusignan Golf Club’s captain, won with a gross 75, handicap 09 and net 66 from Dave Robinson who had a gross 86, handicap 17 and 69.

Charles Cutshall who placed third, was edged by Robinson on the count back. Cutshall had a gross 77, handicap 08 and net 69.

Cutshall, however, won the longest drive, while Mike Mangal won the closest to the pin on the par three, number five hole.

The presentation of prizes were done by GT&T’s representative Audrey Parker who in her remarks explained her company’s commitment to not only golf, but sports generally in Guyana.

Parker assured the club’s president Mike Brassington, that GT&T was proud to be associated with golf and was grateful for the invitation to sponsor the tournament.
