Eight Guyanese to study Hindi on Govt of India scholarships

Eight Guyanese have been awarded scholarships by the Indian Government to study Hindi at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (Central Institute of Hindi) in Agra.

The scholarships cover all expenses, including international airfares as well as boarding and lodging of the candidates, a release from the High Commission of India said.

The awardees this year are: Sahadeo Heyland, Basmattie Raywat, Suneeti Seecharan, Indira Gee, Padmini Devi Parmanand, Jashoda Rayman, Narayshwar Bharat and Chandar Kumar Nankoo.
