Karateka Troy Bobb ensured he did not travel to the United States of America (USA) for nothing.
Bobb left here on August 2nd to participate in the United States Karate Alliance 2002 world championships in New Orleans, Louisana from August 1-4.
He failed to place in the three events he competed in.
Bobb however, was determined not to return home empty-handed.
He decided to enter up in the Royal Crown, Martial Arts championships.
Competing in the black-belt division kumite traditional, Bobb lost to winner Mike Chand of Atlanta in the finals.
Another strong showing in the musical kata saw him earning another another second placed finish.
“The competition was a tough one but I gained a lot from the exposure,” Bobb said, adding that it was his first international tournament.
