Slain Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officer Feroze Bashir died of internal bleeding resulting from three shots he sustained from a 9 mm pistol, a post-mortem report stated, according to his relatives.

Bashir, 20, of Lot 122 Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara died outside of his paramour’s home in Buxton last week Tuesday while paying a brief visit. The policeman’s death has raised many questions and many persons including his relatives believe there is something amiss. Last week a relative of Bashir had told this newspaper that he was told that the man who killed Bashir was seen before conversing with him and it seemed that Bashir knew his killer.

His adopted mother, Marian Rahaman yesterday told Stabroek News that his body bore three gunshots wounds. Bashir will be laid to rest tomorrow and the Guyana Police Force Welfare Department has been making all the necessary funeral arrangements.

Bashir is the 9th policeman to be murdered since April.
