Christine Sookram warmed up for the Lusignan Golf Club’s Greensome competition by winning Saturday’s KFC tournament. She registered a gross 85 from a 18 handicap and net 67.

John Tracey was second with a gross 82, handicap 13 and net 69, while Charles Catshall placed third with a gross 80, handicap 09 and net 71.

Patrick Prashad won the longest drive, while Vishnu Ramjoo was first in the nearest to pin.

Imran Khan copped the best gross prize by recording a gross 78.

KFC’s representative Miss Pratab was on hand to present the respective winners with their prizes. She also assured the gathering of her company’s continued support for the sport.

The club’s president Mike Brassington thanked the sponsors and expressed gratitude on their willingness to sponsor this saturday’s Monthly Mug tournament and medal play.

Saturday’s tournament gets underway from 12.30pm with a Shot Gun start.

The Greensome tournament and Bar-B-Que is slated for August 18 and tickets purchased for the original date (June 9) are still valid.
