Alim Hassan, the man accused of murdering his wife, sister-in-law and mother-in-law, was yesterday taken before a New Jersey, US judge and entered a formal plea of not guilty.

Hassan, a Guyanese, is accused of murdering, Bernadette Seajatan, 49, and her two daughters, Sharon Yassin 30 and Marlyn Hassan, 28.

The three women, also from Guyana, lived at Lot 10 Fox Place, New Jersey, with their husbands and Yassin’s two sons, Andrew, 5 and Christopher, 2.

The brutal triple murder occurred on July 30 and the bodies of the three women, who sustained multiple stab wounds, were discovered by the two children.
