Police issue bulletins for Benschop, Bynoe

The police yesterday issued wanted bulletins for TV personality Mark Benschop and activist Phillip Bynoe, who they say are being sought in connection with a series of offences.

Bynoe led Wednesday's protest which turned violent after some of the marchers stormed the Office of the President. Two people from the procession were shot and killed. Ten people were injured, including a presidential guard, and 17 others were arrested.

Benschop was seen among the protesters that day.

The police are asking anyone knowing the whereabouts of the duo to contact the nearest police station or telephone 226-6978, 225-8196, 226-9941, 226-1326 or 225-3650.

Benschop's, date of birth was given as September 9, 1970; his height as five feet, nine inches. His address was given as 90 Laluni Street, Queenstown, Georgetown.

Bynoe, the police said, was born on November 14, 1948. His height was given as 175 cm and his address as 35 Silver City, Wismar, Linden.
