Criminologist Jacques Smits and Aneta Joanna Szadkowska, the mother of two children who were allegedly abducted by their father, Herman Roelf Ploeger, left Guyana today for the Netherlands after an unsuccessful search for the man and his sons.

However, Smits said that 21st Century Investigation & Security Service will continue to look for the children - Pascal Roelf Ploeger and Timeotheus Withold Ploeger - on behalf of the mother and Smits.

The criminologist advised anyone who might have any information on the children to give it to the police or to Errol VanNooten of 21st Century Investigation at telephone number 227-1564 or 226-6058.

Smits, who was hired by the mother of the children to find the children, had told this newspaper that Ploeger, 34, allegedly fled the Netherlands one year ago with his two sons, despite having lost four separate custody battles in Dutch courts to the children’s mother.

He had said that the father of the two boys had twice before abducted the children during visitation periods and had managed to disappear with them approximately four to five months on the second occasion.
