JUSTICE Dawn Gregory-Barnes yesterday granted a Nisi Order that called upon the Attorney General, the Advisory Committee on Broadcasting (ACB) and Prime Minister Samuel Hinds to show cause why the decision taken to suspend the Television licences for Channel 9 for 48 hours should not be quashed.

After hearing counsel Mr. Nigel Hughes for the Television Station, Channel 9, the judge granted the Nisi Order and the Summons was made returnable for yesterday afternoon at 5 p.m.

The Nisi Order, which also referred to Channel 6, which was also suspended for 48 hours for misconduct, is expected to serve as a stay to the Prime Minister's decision until the proceedings were heard by the Court and determined.

The writ was filed by Blackman & Sons Incorporated and the defendants included ACB Members Messrs Ron Case, Carlton James and Pat Dial.
