Norwegian sea adventurer, Dr. Stein Hoff who began his voyage on August 10, 2002 from Portugal, rowing across the Atlantic Ocean in a small rowboat arrived in Guyana yesterday afternoon after about more then 96 days at sea.

Officials from the Ministry of Tourism said Hoff was due to dock at a harbour in the Demerara River, Port Georgetown. However, on reaching the coast he sailed some distance up the mouth of the Essequibo River and docked briefly at the Parika ferry stelling.
