WINDBALL Cricket - The Annual Easter term windball cricket tournament for secondary schoolgirls will continue in the following areas - West Demerara today, East Bank tomorrow and East Coast from Wednesday to Friday. Allister Munroe will be in charge.

Football - The second Annual Edwin ‘Chow’ Sealey Under-17 five-a-side knockout football competition for secondary schools, sponsored by De Sinco Trading will continue at the National Gymnasium from tomorrow to Friday. Matches will commence at 10:00 hrs daily with a minimum of four matches per day. Coach Dennis Hunte will oversee proceedings.

Netball - Coach Lavern Fraser-Thomas will continue her coaching programme with secondary schoolgirls on weekdays from 15:30 hrs to 17:00 hrs.

Fraser-Thomas will also continue to work with the National Under-16 netball squad preparing for the Under-16 Caribbean championship in December in Grenada. The Cliff Anderson Sports Hall tarmac is the venue being utilised.

Persons with Disabilities - Sports Organiser for Persons with Disabilities, Wilton Spencer, will conduct sessions for the elderly in the discipline of Bocce. Sessions will be held at the Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport Lawns from 09:30 hrs to 11:30 hrs on Wednesday.

Table Tennis - Table Tennis coach Sydney Christophe and his assistant Linden Johnson will continue to conduct coaching sessions for both junior and senior table tennis players at the Guyana Table Tennis Association's Benab at the National Park. Sessions will be held daily from 06:00 hrs to 07:30 hrs for seniors, while sessions will be held from 15:30 hrs to 19:00 hrs for both juniors and seniors, with the juniors’ sessions being conducted from 15:40 hrs to 17:30 hrs. Meanwhile, the H.A. Snacks-sponsored schools tournament will be held on Saturday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall commencing at 09:00 hrs.
